Commissions Payment
After an initial chat, if you would like sketches we charge a £50 sketch deposit, that will be deducted from your final bill once you decide to go ahead. Should you not wish to proceed after a £50 sketch deposit is paid, that money will be non-refundable. However, final decisions on this matter shall be made at our discretion.
When you have chosen a final design we ask for 50% of the total cost in advance. The remainder of your bill will then be paid prior to delivery, in the ways outlined above.

Return Policy
Mahailia Jewellery Design endeavours to achieve complete customer satisfaction.
However we do operate a simple returns policy:
* No refunds/exchanges are available on earrings for hygienic reasons or rings ordered to a specific size.
We do not refund commissioned pieces, unless they are damaged or faulty. However at the discretion of Mahailia Jewellery Design, we may offer a refund or credit note for approximately half of the original purchase cost.
* We offer a simple 7-Day Money Back Guarantee. If any item is not quite what you required then just notify us by email/post (stating reason for return) within 7 days of receipt. We will then issue you with either a refund or allow you to exchange the item for something else instead. When refunding the customer, postage costs on the original order are not refunded. As mentioned in point 1 above, this Guarantee does not apply to earrings or rings ordered to a specific size. Please ensure you order the correct size ring as we cannot exchange/refund for wrongly ordered sizes or exchange/refund on rings at all. However we do offer a re-size service.
* Please send items back via a signed for postal service for your own proof of delivery. This postage cost is not reimbursed (unless item is damaged/faulty).
* Please check your goods on delivery. If items do arrive damaged/faulty please let us know within 3 days and arrange to post them back to us. We will reimburse you these extra postage costs. If you do not inform us within 3 days, then we will have no liability for items said to be damaged/faulty on delivery.
* We have made every effort to display all our items as accurately as possible. However as each piece is hand made, slight differences may occur.
* All requests must be within 28 days of receipt.
* Mahailia Jewellery Design can cancel any order it feels fit to do so whereupon all paid monies will be refunded in full.
* By placing an order you agree to these terms above. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Shipping Terms and Conditions
Commission delivery time will vary though most take around 6 weeks to complete. We can often make a piece for a more urgent deadline if required, please just contact us with this request and to discuss.
All items will be delivered by Royal Mail Special Delivery and we will notify you when your item is ready for despatch. Your item is fully insured for the duration of its journey. There is a postage and packaging charge of £7.00 within the UK, which will be added to your order on purchase.
For delivery outside the UK the postage and packaging charge is £10. Postage times vary from country to country and Royal Mail can provide guarantees for their delivery service.

All of the jewellery is made in sterling silver (925), 14ct (585) & 18ct (750) red, white & yellow gold and platinum (950), and will display an Edinburgh or London hallmark and our unique makers stamp.

Items are available with either a polished or matt surface finish. Please be aware that matt surface finishes are temporary and will fade with wear. A refinishing service is available.
